Carpet Cleaning Appointment Preparation

Make Sure You're All Set!

How to Prepare for Your Carpet Cleaning Appointment

Here are some of our team's suggestions:
1. Please advise your Cleaning Specialist about any special requirements to follow on moving your furniture i.e. weak legs, loose tops, etc. We will only move furniture that is reasonably movable for one person

2. Before we arrive, please vacuum your traffic areas and under furniture you want moved by us to clean. If you need to move furniture out to vacuum underneath, please place it back exactly where it belongs so as not to cover the traffic area next to or in front of the furniture, we will be happy to move it clean under it and then replace it. Note: We will not clean under upholstery that has not been pre vacuumed. If we arrive for our scheduled appointment and need to vacuum prior to carpet cleaning, there will be an additional charge.

3. Please pin up any full-length draperies so that they will be at least 6 inches from the carpet Pm up any skirts on upholstered furniture, which may be touching the carpet

4. Remove all items from furniture, which will have to be temporarily moved from its regular location to properly clean your carpet, including books on tables, photos, lamps etc. We will not move furniture that displays breakable items.

5. Any small pieces of furniture such as dining room chairs, magazine racks, etc. that you can remove from the carpet to be cleaned, prior to our arrival, will shorten processing time and return the carpet to normal use sooner and is greatly appreciated.

6. China cabinets, Computer equipment sectional sofas entertainment centers, antique and fragile furniture cannot be moved.

We greatly appreciate your help in preparing and look forward
to exceeding your expectations.

7. Please call to your Cleaning Specialist's attention any spots or stains which may require special techniques and identify the staining agent, if possible, your technician has had specialized training in handling these concerns and will let you know if they believe they can be removed or if specialty stain removal processes will be needed.

8. For your pet’s peace of mind (and ours!) please put them in a safe place where our cleaning won’t disturb them

9. Please have an outside water faucet available for us to turn on and use throughout the cleaning process.

10. Please make sure the closest parking spot to the front door is available for our technician prior to their arrival. We use truck mounted cleaning equipment in most residential homes which means everything is connected to the truck.

11. Special note about odors - We do everything possible to reduce or eliminate pet odors. However, due to depth of contamination 100% success may not be attainable for several days after cleaning you may notice an elevated odor due to higher humidity levels; we do offer advance optional levels of odor removal. Please ask your cleaning technician for more information

12. Specialty Stain Removal - We can remove most stains with general spotters, cleaners and out truck mounted steam cleaning equipment. Sometimes there are stains that take techniques that most cleaners are not trained in. They include the use of strong oxidizers, Black lights and in some cases high powered black lights. We can remove almost any organic stain including mustard, and curry from synthetic and natural fibers like wool. There are additional costs associated with these techniques but are extremely valuable options and in some cases can save replacement of an entire home of matching carpet.

Post Cleaning Instructions:

1. Please leave the plastic pads and blocks under your furniture for at least 48 hours after the cleaning. Also do not replace office chair floor mats or any thing else for at least 48 hours.

2. As a safety precaution please do not allow your children or pets to crawl or lie down on the damp carpet until it has completely dried.

3 Please use caution when walking from a damp carpet to a dry hard surface so that you don’t slip.

4. We recommend using your HVAC unit to aid in the drying process. Turn on the fan so it will help circulate the air. On hot or humid days running the air conditioning and dropping it a couple of degrees will drastically reduce the dry time of your freshly cleaned carpets. During the winter turning the heat up a couple of degrees after the technician has completed the cleaning can also help.

Thank you for working with us. We look forward to serving you
